A studio for software, and other compulsions.
Spanda, LLC is a small software studio based in Connecticut, United States. We design, build, and operate web and mobile software products. Some of those products are commercial; some are experiments; some sit in between.
Spanda was founded as a vehicle for a practice that spans engineering, research, and creative work. The company name comes from a Sanskrit word for the subtle vibration that animates a system. The tagline, beyond belief, is meant in two senses: the technical one, where the right idea executed well looks impossible until it works, and the ordinary one, where things sometimes turn out better than you expected.
We sell software-as-a-service. Customers pay either a recurring subscription or a usage-based fee, and in return get hosted access to a product through a website or API. The terms of each product are described on its own site at the time of purchase, and the legal framework that covers all of them lives on this site under Terms, Privacy, and Refunds.

The studio's creative and visual practice. Not a commercial product. Lives on Instagram and in the occasional collage.
